Hopefully you all realized that we only gave three kinda guys last time. This is not the onset of muchene’s Alzheimer’s, we actually did that on purpose…for you to take it all in.

The bad boy

He is good at being bad it’s scary. He seems to know the coolest spots in town and the coolest people in those cool spots. He always has the money, always has the funniest stories and the most interesting lifestyle you have ever known. He lives his life with reckless abandon; life is too short as he puts it. He never takes orders from life or any particular person, he can be an abrasive character but that is all part of the alpha male persona that endears him to many women. There is never a dull moment around this guy.

But you know what else is never around this guy? A permanent partner! Much like his lifestyle choice, he is always looking for the next best thing. And that is all you will be remembered as once he is done with you. Once upon a time you were the nest best thing till the next best thing appeared in his life. He can seem cold and inconsiderate but he does not intend this. Really. He is a man who lives for the moment and is used to change that he has never felt the need to back. He changes fashion, cars, hang out spots and travel destinations so often that when he does the same with a woman he takes it as part of his changing life. Nothing personal - and there lies the problem, he never takes it personally, not the way that you do!

The good guy

These men constitute about 1% of the current world male population. They are a dying breed of men. This is no fault of our brilliant mothers who continuously place the necessary conditions for their sons to be all round good guys. The problem is the other women their young sons come into contact with. Good guys often finish last and when this ego filled member of the male species finds that being a good guy gets him the runners up trophy and not even half the plaudits of the winner, he changes tact. Most of today’s bad boys are what they are out of conditioning and strangely enough, personal choice.

Good guys are always considerate, caring, sweet, courteous, slow to anger, respectful, faithful and well mannered guys that every woman wants her husband and father to her children to be and represent. Never mind that she fell in love with his more treacherous characteristics! Good guys are a premium and most women who happen to fall into the luck of finding and keeping such men rarely treat them any better than household pets.

These are keepers and no doubt the best solution to a long term relationship. There are only two problems here. Being so few, most women will not even come across such a man let alone get one down the aisle. Secondly, and this one I personally do not understand,  most women disregard such men once they find such a man often taking him for granted and only being the starring actor in a use and abuse plot. Oh women, when will you ever learn?!
