 I know, yet another Tanzanian on makes it to our model of the week column, lakini hawa warembo wa bongo wanadatisha kweli! This week it’s Nancy Abraham Sumari, a former beauty queen Miss Tanzania turned model model and is now Managing Partner at Frontline Management Limited,an Events and Corporate Communication firm, where she is the director of Events.  She was selected as Miss Tanzania 2005 and Miss World Africa for 2005. Sumari was born in Arusha, Tanzania, in 1986 to Abraham Simango Sumari. She is one of five children, including her older sister Nakaaya Sumari from the reality TV show "Tusker Project Fame" if you can still kumbuka her. Anyway, enjoy the view....

 She is famously known as a Goodwill Ambassador for Tanzania. Her name is Tausi Likokola, one of the most successful international models that Tanzania has ever produced. In her modeling career, she has graced the catwalk stages of international shows and showcased some of the most renowned labels such as Gucci, Escada, Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Dior, Issey Miyake and many more.  However, Tausi is not just a model or a Goodwill Ambassador for Tanzania. She is an activist, an author and a mother. She is the founder of the not-for-profit organization, Tausi AIDS Fund, which supports prevention and awareness programs against HIV/AIDS in Africa. It is actually her efforts to support prevention and awareness of HIV/AIDS in Africa that landed her the title of a Goodwill Ambassador for Tanzania as a recognition and encouragement from the Government of Tanzania. 
Recently, Tausi added yet another book in her list of books that she has authored. Her most recent book is titled The Touch of An Angel. And to top it all of, she is the hottest thang this side of the sahara… MWANGALIE…

This week’s Model of da week is not your usual PYT, we have Biko Beauttah a Kenyan refugee who fled to Canada three years ago. Biko is special because he is a transsexual and for all you guys who slept during English classes, a transsexual is an individual's identification with a gender inconsistent or not culturally associated with their biological sex. Biko works in Toronto as a Fashion stylist, he is an aspiring clothing designer and has competed in America’s Next Top Transsexual Model.

Antoinette Ataro graces muchene.com for the next 7 days with her beauty and seduction. Antoinette is a Kenyan black beauty and she is one hell of a model having featured in Kenya’s Cosmopolitan magazine (2004) and Singapore’s Elle Magazine (2005). She has also been on Glamour Magazine’s cover page. PYT Antoinette is especially popular on Asia's fashion runways, where she is known for her grace and "perfect strut" on the catwalk. 
It all started for her a few years back in South Africa when she went to do runway work for Cape Town Fashion. Her dream was almost cut short when port police in SA turned her and another Kenyan PYT for being too ‘dark’ to be South African... WTF! They had to lead the cops back to Fashion Week's location, and get folks to vouch for them. Well that is history and now she is a star.

Eva Ndachi is fine lady with a fine career in the modelling industry. Eva was born in Gilgil, Kenya on May the 20th and was soon discovered in Nakuru, Kenya by a local Modelling Agency Sura Zuri. She went on to be featured on M-Net in 2000 before becoming the face of MAC makeup. Eva is no Blondie; she graduated from the United States International University in Nairobi, with a degree in International Business. Eva is one of the very few Kenyan supermodel’s who has had an illustrious career, she has done numerous print adverts but is most famous for doing the Kenya Airways ads as a result of a 2-year-contract with Kenya Airways.
