Victor Wanyama's star keeps rising as the Celtic fans voted him the Young Player of the Year. It tops a brilliant season for Wanyama, that secured Celtic's title this season, as well as their greatest run in Champion's League, defeating the mighty Barcelona on their way to the last 16.

The 21 year old Wanyama is also in the running for SPL Young Player of the Year and was also shortlisted as one of the three most promising players on the African continent by the Confederation of African football. Wanyama is looking to be the poster boy for Kenyan football and Kenya FA President Sam Nyamweya hailed Wanyama's achievement and challenged other players to emulate him.

Congrats to Wanyama! Let us relive that bullet header against Barcelona.

Oliech bangs in last minute winner for Ajaccio PDF Print E-mail

Last year's French champions Montpellier were stunned by Oliech's Ajaccio team with a come from behind win, with Oliech scoring the winner in the 90th min. 

Ajaccio played the second half with 10 men and Montpellier capitalised by taking the lead in the 55min, but Montpellier also got a red card and Ajaccio equalised from the resulting penalty. Oliech then headed in the winner in the 90th min. Check the Oliech's winning goal below.

The win keeps Ajaccio in 15th place and eases their relegation worries.

This week we want to Big Up one of Kenya’s best. After winning countless awards for the national volleyball team and her club side Kenya Prisons, Jane Wacu is surely one the greatest sportswomen this country has ever had.

 

Jane Wacu is a celebrated member of the Kenya national volleyball team and was born in Blue valley in Nyeri and together with her family moved to Majengo, a popular town in Nyeri. She was brought up by her single mother and is the last born in a family of 5 siblings

 

 

Wacu’s greatest ambition is to help provide a prestigious lifestyle to her mother who has struggled tirelessly to bring them up.

Kenyan international soccer ace MacDolnald Mariga is said to have parted ways with his fiancée. It is alleged that the Rwandan beauty had differences with Mariga’s family, and she was apparently thrown out of Mariga’s uptown house by people who are believed to be the footballer’s relatives.

 

She gathered her belongings and left the country after the family drama was witnessed by neighbours.
