Sonko fires his lawyers...in court! |

Senator Mike Sonko yesterday caused a stir when he fired his lawyers in court during the hearing of his assault case. The lawyers, Cliff Ombeta and Alphonse Mutinda, were fired in court after Sonko accused them of being lazy and dishonest. “With all due respect of this honourable court and the lawyers representing both sides, I feel that my case has dragged for too long, and it’s because of these lazy lawyers I have. I am therefore firing them right before you because they are big jokers, and from today onward I will represent myself.”
Sonko further claimed that the lawyers were swindling him as he had given them money to settle the case out of court. The case continues on August 17th.

Kiss 100s Caroline Mutoko is on the war-path against all bloggers that tarnished her name in the Mutula Kilonzo death. The social network rumour-mill had it that Ms Mutoko was with the Senator the night before his death. Mutoko came out to refute the rumours, and today she went one step further, filing a complaint with the Cyber Crime Unit. 
“I did not visit the deceased, I have never been to his home in my entire life, nor was I anywhere near his residence at any time as reported. This is an underhand attempt to damage my career which has taken me over 15 years to build and to undermine my international reputation... To fabricate such a ridiculously blatant lie to hurt Mutula’s family and my image is the height of cruelty, insensitivity and madness." The Cyber Cops will follow up on the case.

Usually, us common folk bet for cash. But when you have more cash than you care for, you make stupid bets, like wearing a skirt for a day. We learn this lesson from Richard Branson, who had to dress up as an air hostess and serve the fliers.
Branson lost a Formula 1 bet to his AirAsia CEO pal way back in 2010, and had to dress and serve customers on an Air Asia flight. It was all for a charitable cause and the flight raised $200k for a children's foundation. Check out the video.
