That's it! I can't take Nigerians any more! At least according to one of the world's greatest entrepreneurs, Sir Richard Branson. The man turns everything he touches to gold, and is even expanding his enterprise into space, but Sir Richard has drawn the line with our Naija brodas.
Sir Richard set up Virgin Nigeria, buying 51% of the Nigerian National airline with plans of making it one of Africa's largest carriers. Virgin Nigeria grew in leaps and bounds and became the only West African airline to be pass the IATA safety audit. But the greed of Nigerian politicians and the corruption in Nigeria was just too much for Branson.
“We fought daily battle against government agents who wanted to daily make fortune from us, politicians who saw the government 49% as a meal to seek for all kinds of favour, watchdogs (regulatory body) that didn’t know what to do and persistently asking for bribes at any point. Nigeria people are generally nice but the politicians are very insane…that may be irony because the people make up the politicians. But those politicians are selfish, we did make N3billion for the federal government of Nigeria during the joint venture, realising that the government didn’t bring nothing to the table/partnership except dubious debts by the previous carrier, Nigeria Airways. The joint venture should have been the biggest African carrier by now if the partnership was allowed to grow, but the politicians KILLED it.
Nigeria is a country we SHALL NEVER consider to doing business again..”
Hehe. Gotta love our Naija brodas. A dude would rather risk investing in Space than in Nigeria. (Standing ovation)

We recently ran a story of NBA Mega star Dirk Nowitzki getting hitched to Jessica Olsson who has Kenyan roots by virtue of her mum being Kikuyu. If you did not read the article click here to check it out.
The 7 foot guy did not disappoint as he danced to the tunes of Kikuyu songs at their traditional wedding commonly reffered to as ngurario.
